A PEACE Of My Mind!

I

II’m leaving on the train on time

I’ve

Been so lonely I want to take back what’s rightfully mine
I’m

Bringing you flowers but they’re no where as pretty as you

And I

Am plotting all the wonderful things that we can do
And I

Won’t be very much longer till I reach my destination

And I

Will never rest until I’m done
Winning you over

Winning you over
Baby don’t you know

That it’s all about you

And there’s nobody who

Could ever show me who

How to to live and grow

Through life’s high and lows

Planting seeds we sow

And all that we tow

Ain’t nobody but you

I been wondering all my life

I

Been wondering through a smirk and chagrin
And I

I been wondering when my trains rolling in

And I

Wonder when your hearts gonna give in and let me win
But I

I can’t win you over

Until

Until you accept me as your lover
And I’m winning you over

Win you over
Baby don’t you know

That it’s all about me and you

And there’s nobody else

Could ever show me how

How to to live and grow

Through all the highs and the lows

That nobody knows

And the heart wants to show

Ain’t nobody but you

Ain’t nobody but you
Winning

Winning you over

Winning

Winning you over
Nobody but you
Nobody

Nobody but you
Nobody

Nobody but little old you
Nobody

YOU FLIPPED THAT SWITCH

I was so dead insideNo chance of hope

I was just along for the ride

Trying to hide being a big mope
Your smile lifted me up

Your laugh was so contagious

I drank from your cup

And it’s just so outrageous
With a flip of switch

You changed me

And my attitude

My life has gotten so rich

I can finally see

It’s a whole new pitch

Since you flipped that switch

Now I’m in love

Since you flipped that switch

I’m outta that ditch

Since you flipped that switch
For so long I felt so lost

Just taking up space

I felt I had no worth and no cause

Turns out all I needed was your friendly face
You let me into your life

And showed me another world

You spun me around and took out the knife

The thoughts in my head swirled
With a flip of a switch

You changed me

And my attitude

My life has gotten so rich

I can finally see

It’s a whole new pitch

Since you flipped that switch

Now I’m in love

Since you flipped that switch

I’m outta that ditch

Since you flipped that switch
I look into your eyes

I can get so happily lost

No more alibis

Your sun has melted my frost

With the flip of switch
With a flip of switch

You changed me

And my attitude

My life has gotten so rich

I can finally see

It’s a whole new pitch

Since you flipped that switch

Now I’m in love

Since you flipped that switch

I’m outta that ditch

Since you flipped that switch
I cannot stop smiling

Seeing the beauty in everything

Your love is all I’m dialing

You can hear my heart singing
With a flip of switch

You changed me

And my attitude

My life has gotten so rich

I can finally see

It’s a whole new pitch

Since you flipped that switch

Now I’m in love

Since you flipped that switch

I’m outta that ditch

Since you flipped that switch
It’s electric

Since you flipped that switch

I feel the electricity

Since you flipped that switch

Inside of me

Since you flipped that switch
With a flip of switch

You changed me

And my attitude

My life has gotten so rich

I can finally see

It’s a whole new pitch

Since you flipped that switch

Now I’m in love

Since you flipped that switch

I’m outta that ditch

Since you flipped that switch

The Message Of Love

We must stop giving hate any platform at all. There are a lot of good people doing great things in the world. They should get the platform. They should be the news story everyday. Then good can spread and inspire others with a message of compassion, peace, and love, and become more contagious, more acceptable. It is the right choice.Namaste

MAGENTA HEART

Twenty years agoI met her, not far from the beach

I’d never recognize her now

I hear her hair is colored in bleach
She painted me a picture

On an old white canvas

Of her heart

After some time together

Had passed
It was painted in oil

With a TV on in the background

She labored night after night

Very focused, she toiled away
It wasn’t red

It wasn’t quite purple

Outlined in black

It was magenta

And when she finished

She finally went to bed
The next morning she handed it to me

And as a fellow artist

I looked at it with respect

She wiped the brow of her lip

And said, “It’s anatomically correct”
She gave it to me that day

And said it was her heart

I didn’t know what to say

She put her thoughts, dreams, hopes, and fears into her art.
Her magenta heart

Still hangs on my wall

Sipping my coffee

I’m still waiting for her to call
Life against her

Placing it’s bets

15 years of memories

I still have no regrets
Despite all the sadness

I wish I could quit

These goddamn cigarettes
It tears me apart

That all that I’ve got

Is her magenta heart
Like her life

Her paintings soon faded

Her eyes changed from bright colors

Like someone who is jaded
But I still hold that painting on my wall

Years and years later

And look at it every night

From spring until fall
Dressed in my flannel pajamas

All cozy and comfortable

Before the next storm

Her heart looms over me

To keep me warm
I don’t know what the girl

With the magenta heart

Is doing today

But if I could know

I’d like to hear she’s okay
Her magenta heart

Still hangs on my wall

Sipping my coffee

I’m still waiting for her to call
I wonder if she ever

Wanted it back

15 years of memories

And feelings I never lack
Despite all the sadness

I wish I could quit

These goddamn cigarettes
It tears me apart

That all that I’ve got

Is her magenta heart
But for me that’s got to be

good enough

For me that’s got to be

good enough
A magenta heart

is good enough

It’s got to be

good enough

The only picture I’ve got

Is her magenta heart
